Nonprofit and public-sector websites

Website design and redesign for nonprofits and public agencies

In short

Kotoh Labs designs and rebuilds websites for nonprofits, public agencies, school districts and associations: clear for visitors, accessible to WCAG 2.2 AA, and simple for staff to update. Every project starts with a free concept preview and a fixed-price proposal, and you work directly with the founder from first call to launch.

How Kotoh approaches it

Most nonprofit and public-sector sites fail visitors in the same places: programs are hard to find, forms are buried in PDFs, and staff can’t update anything without a developer. We start from the tasks visitors come to do, such as apply, donate, volunteer, find a meeting or download a form, and build the site around them.

Before you commit, we build a concept preview using your real content, so you can see the direction instead of reading about it. The proposal that follows has a fixed price, a schedule and a clear list of what’s included.

Questions buyers ask

How much does a nonprofit website cost?

It depends on the number of pages, integrations and how much content needs rewriting. We send a fixed-price proposal after a short call, so the number is known before you commit.

Do you build on WordPress?

Yes, when your team needs to edit pages themselves. For mostly static sites we may recommend a faster, cheaper-to-host build. We explain the tradeoff in the proposal.

Will our site be accessible?

Templates are built and tested to WCAG 2.2 AA: keyboard use, screen readers, color contrast, headings, forms and image descriptions. We also flag PDFs and content that need fixing.

Can you respond to our RFP?

Yes. Kotoh Labs regularly responds to public and nonprofit RFPs, usually with a concept preview of the proposed site attached.

Who owns the website?

You do: content, design files, code and documentation, with full administrator access and no required Kotoh subscription.
